Project:
Vallur Thermal Power station is a power plant located in Thiruvallur district of North Chennai. The power plant is operated by NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Limited which is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and TNEB. The plant capacity is 19.2 MLD.
KISHOR PUMPS got the enquiry from the EPC company for the desalination project. Now the real challenge was to meet the specifications of NTPC. KISHOR had an advantage of metallurgy which is their strength since this being a Desalination project, metallurgy played a very vital role for eg: super duplex and duplex stainless steel
Solution:
KISHOR PUMPS quoted for the complete package of single stage pumps and after series of discussions with the EPC contractor & NTPC, KISHOR PUMPS bagged the prestigious order comprising of 40 pumps in different metallurgies like super duplex, duplex and stainless steel.
This was one of the largest capacity desalination plant coming up in India at that time and that too with the involvement of NTPC.
Customer Opinion:
KISHOR PUMPS successfully completed the execution of the order in 4 months and commissioned the pumps in 2010. Since then the pumps are running satisfactorily for last 8 years for which the EPC contractor has issued a performance certificate.
