A success story at Raw Sewage pumping Station
About the Project:
A main pumping station of 40 MLD capacity is in operation in Kasarwadi Area of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation which feeds to a 40 MLD STP nearby.
The Challenge
5 numbers of Vertical Non clog Pumps were in operation in this plant for more than a decade. As a part of maintenance schedule and revamping of the plant, PCMC decided to replace these pumps with similar design. However, the challenge was to replace these pumps without any changes / modifications in the existing piping and foundation within a short span of around a month. The total job was entrusted to a Leading turnkey contracting company from Pune.
The Solution
To understand the exact installation issues, KISHOR PUMPS team visited site on a number of occasions and accurately measured almost all the dimensions and routing of the pipeline, valves and other piping specials. We were able to offer much more efficient design than the existing one. Also, some special manifolds were designed to match the suction and delivery piping of the existing arrangement.
The project was completed within less than a month. PCMC senior officials visited KISHOR works for pre-dispatch inspection. KISHOR PUMPS team supervised complete installation process and ensured that the pumps fitted well in the existing piping system and there was no damage to any component of the piping during installation.
The Benefit
PCMC requirements of pumps replacement without alteration in pipeline was completed successfully within a short span.
The Customer Opinion
The plant is working to the satisfaction of PCMC for more than two years.
KISHOR PUMPS team is visiting the plant periodically to check the working of the pumps & the systems.
